Frequently Asked Questions
What is VoIP?
Unlike traditional business phone systems that force you to use a phone at a specific place using a specific device, with a business VoIP, you’re empowered to use some advanced features like:
Make/receive calls anywhere there’s internet
Call from a variety of devices (such as your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer).
Use the same business phone number anywhere (at home, on the road, or in the office) for both making and receiving calls.
SWITCHING TO VOIP: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Is your business or nonprofit thinking about switch to VoIP? If so, you’re probably wondering 2 main things:
Can I keep my phone number?
How easy is the switch?
Let’s talk about those!
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) can be an economical solution for small to medium-sized organizations. There’s many benefits to VoIP versus a traditional business phone system. For example, a cloud phone system offers the advanced features of an expensive PBX (Private Branch Exchange) without the associated costs and maintenance. With a main phone number for the company and an extension for each user, it’s possible to integrate staff members who work from home, mobile users, and employees in multiple office locations into one phone system that connects calls to all your people, wherever they are.
Can I Port My Number to VoIP?
You can keep your current phone number. Your current local, long distance, and fax numbers can be ported from your current phone service provider to a business VoIP provider (like CloudNett). It’s a simple process that we’ll help you with!
